ABIA[Top Story]: General Ijioma Is A Man Of Character – Onukwubiri, APGA Secretary
The Abia State Secretary of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri, has described Major General Ijioma N. Ijioma (retd), as a man of character.
Onukwubiri who featured in a Flo Fm audience interactive programme, ‘The Platform’ monitored by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, said the party is proud of having a man of character like Major General Ijioma N. Ijioma.
Recall that Major General Ijioma N. Ijioma (retd), the founder of New Deal Foundation, on Friday, January 14, 2022, formally registered as a member of APGA in his Umuhu ward, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. He has also indicated interest to run in the forthcoming 2023 gubernatorial race in the state.
Further in his word, the APGA State Secretary said;
“Prominent Abians have identified with APGA, that they are ready to run the race, we are talking about credible people not people that are eating our money.
“We are talking about people who have the capacity like Ijioma. We are proud of this kind of person coming into our party”.
Reacting to the uproar that followed the General’s entrance into the party, Onukwubiri revealed that the uproar is connected to the intimidating credentials Ijioma has gathered from his life journey.
“he is a class of distinction graduate both in his first degree and his masters and in military field. From what I heard also, when he was declaring in his ward, he said he is standing tall, nobody can indict him in the military.”
Onukwubiri added that the party’s ticket for the 2023 election will be thrown open for interested candidates who are capable and credible.
