2023 GUBER: Abians Will Come Out With vengeance To Take Back Abia From PDP – Umeh Kalu | WATCH VIDEO
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney General and commissioner for Justice in Abia State, Umeh Kalu has said that Abians will troop out en masse to their various polling units with vengeance on the governorship election day, to sack the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the seat of power.
Kalu who doubles as the Obi- Datti campaign coordinator in Abia state while speaking to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, described election period as a harvest time where the masses pay back their leaders in their own coin, adding that the turn out of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 election proved that Abians have rejected PDP.
He lamented that Abia State has remained as it were since 1991 when the state was created, noting that the PDP has done nothing remarkable with the large Revenue generated in the state.
“PDP has been here since 1999 and there is nothing to show for it. For me, the people have passed their judgement on PDP ” kalu said while reacting to the last election results.
Continuing he said;
“Abians have suffered double tragedy. PDP governments before Okezie Ikpeazu, have been successful since 1999.
“A state that was created over 30 years ago has no government house; there is no official residence for the governor, the SSG and chief judge has no place of residence; Umuahia has remained as it has been for all these years; the roads are imotorable, there is no town in Abia that has pipe borne water, there is no road and light in Ohafia and Arochukwu, no good hospitals in Abia; doctors have been on strike; teachers, pensioners have not been paid for close to seven years, it is that bad. The IGR of the state are shared amongst some miscreants” he lamented.
Kalu opined that the entire Abia State can be reformed using the revenue that comes into the state from Aba alone.
He expressed optimism hat Labour Party will beat the ruling PDP and other oppositions at the polls to clinch the governorship seat in the state.
“we have gotten to a breaking point in Abia state. Even the blind can see that nothing is absolutely happening here. Abians of all divides, even those in PDP are yearning for a change.
“what is going to happen this saturday (now March 18th) will be vengeance. The people will come out strongly to get back this state. We can’t remain this way” Kalu added.
