ABIA: We Need Competent People For Results – LP State Chairman, Ceekay Igara Charge Ugwunagbo Stakeholders

ABIA: We Need Competent People For Results – LP State Chairman, Ceekay Igara Charge Ugwunagbo Stakeholders

The Abia State Labour Party Chairman, Ceekay Igara on Monday, charged the Ugwunagbo Local Government Area stakeholders of the party, to adopt competent and tested leaders who has the capacity to achieve the needed results for the growth of the party.

The Chairman while meeting with the wards and LGA Executives, harped on the need to diligently follow the constitution and principles of the Labour Party to ensure that the right things are done.

“we need competent and tested people; people who can show what they have achieved in the past, because we want results.We are not doing the politics of PDP and APC. If you have people with result, bring them” the chairman said.

Igara appreciated the people for supporting Labour party during the election even in the face of mockery from oppositions, assuring that; “we will not let you down and we will support you”.

The Labour Party state chairman encouraged the stakeholders to continue working for the growth of the party and the government of Dr. Alex Otti.

He also admonished the stakeholders on unity, adding that in any case of perceived disorder from any member of the party, a disciplinary committee should be set up to resolve such amicably.

“Open your hearts, receive everybody but make sure the right things are done. Once the right things are done, the sky is just the beginning.”

“if we must get it right we must work with the constitution of the party and make sure that things are done right.

“I want us to build this Party on principles. If someone does something perceived to be bad, set up a disciplinary committee to address such” Igara charged.

The state chairman also advised the stakeholders to ensure that the party gets an LGA office and ward offices.

Earlier while welcoming the state chairman, Ugwunagbo Labour Party Chairman, Emeka Nosike Ihesiaba, appreciated Igara for meeting with the stakeholders. He congratulated the Chairman for delivering Abia state in the recently concluded 2023 election.

“we welcome you the capacity chairman who fought this battle and won it. it’s obvious that the state chairman Abia state did what others couldn’t do. it is only the state chairman of Abia state that delivered. We are privileged to have you in our midst”.

He pledged that the Ugwunagbo members will continue to support the party, adding that they are confident that Governor Alex Otti will deliver dividends of democracy to Abians.

Others at the meeting include; Chief Innocent Nwogwugwu (stakeholders chairman), Hon. John Onwunle (Secretary), Comrade Sunny Onwuma, Chief Kenneth N. Ananaba, state auditor of the party; Hon. Emma Oti, legal adviser, 10 ward chairman of Ugwunagbo, Chief Nwarie, Mrs Ngozi and other LGA executives.
