The reconstruction of ENUDA High School Abiriba in Ohafia LGA, Abia State, a project initiated by Alumni Association of the institution of learning, is gaining momentum.
Recall that the ENUDA Alumni had on December, 31, 2021, hosted a one billion naira launch for infrastructure renovation and development of the school block rooms among others which have been left in a dilapidated state for years.
The official flag off of the project held on April 22, 2022, with the executive Governor of the state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, officiating at the event.
Inspecting the extent of reconstruction work done on the school facilities on Friday, June 17, 2022, it could be seen that the iron rods are already prepared for the casting of slabs on the administrative block after which the re-roofing process will commence.
While inspecting, the Alumni chairman, Chief Inem Nwaka, who led the inspection team, commended the project speed while calling on all to get involved in the project, adding that “moving Enuda High School, Abiriba, forward is a task that must be realised.”
The inspection team also met with teachers of Enuda, Egwuena and Onarubi to sensitize them on an Exchange program initiative.
The essence of the initiative is to build relationship between Uplift Michigan Online School, USA and the schools.
It is being spearheaded by Mrs Uche Uchendu (Nee Emole).
The 3 schools are expected to bring their students (about 5 from each) together as a club to drive the initiative forward.
