Abia: Ude Oko-Chukwu Urges Christians to Pray for the Containment of COVID-19 during Easter

Abia State Deputy Governor Sir Ude Oko-Chukwu has called on Abians and all people of goodwill to continue to support and collaborate with the Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu- led administration in all her efforts to ensure the sustenance of peace, security and wellbeing of Abia citizenry especially in this time of global Covid-19 pandemic.

The Deputy Governor who stated this through his Chief Press Secretary Obasi O. Onwukah, described the Easter season as a good time to nurture our relationship with God and fellow human beings as well as experience the joy and power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Deputy Governor urged Christians and Nigerians at large to believe in Jesus Christ and tap into the power and life which He makes available to us every moment of everyday to continue His mission by sharing His love with others.

Sir Oko-Chukwu noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ holds the message of joy, enduring peace and hope for all and therefore enjoined Christians and indeed Nigerians to embrace peace, unity and good neighborliness and pray for the speedy containment of the Covid-19 pandemic that is ravaging the world today.

Sir Oko-Chukwu used the opportunity to call on religious leaders and all in positions of authority to see the urgent need for collective action towards tackling head-on the multi-faceted challenges confronting our nation and pave the way for the desired advancement of Nigeria in the comity of nations.

The number 2 citizen of God’s Own State while wishing Abians peaceful and Covid-19 Pandemic-Free-Easter celebration, prayed God to bless Abia State and her people, expressing optimism that the spiritual essence of the Easter season will continually impact positively on the overall development of Abia State in particular and Nigeria in general.
