… Abia State strengthens diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom as Chinasa delivers Governor Otti’s goodwill message to the British Monarch.

In a grand display of diplomacy and international fellowship, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, Chief Liaison Officer of the Abia State Liaison Office in Abuja, on Thursday, represented the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, at a high-profile reception held in honour of His Majesty King Charles III on his birthday.

The event, hosted by the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Montgomery CMG, took place at his official residence located at 19 Torren Close, Off Mississippi Street, Maitama, Abuja, and attracted a cross-section of the diplomatic community, political leaders, traditional rulers, and industry captains.

Among the distinguished guests were the Emir of Zauzau, HRH Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, Senator Magnus Abe, the High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria, H.E. Pasquale Salvaggio, and the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Michael Freeman, among others.

Representing Governor Otti, Hon. Chinasa conveyed the Governor’s warm felicitations to King Charles III, describing him as a monarch whose leadership reflects compassion, stability, and a deep commitment to environmental sustainability and global development.

He highlighted Abia State’s openness to collaborations with the United Kingdom in key sectors such as education, healthcare, economic growth, technology, and governance reforms, in line with the Otti-led administration’s vision of repositioning Abia as an investment-friendly and globally competitive state.

Hon. Chinasa also commended the British High Commission’s consistent efforts in strengthening ties between the UK and Nigeria, applauding Mr. Montgomery’s leadership in promoting mutual understanding, democratic values, and sustainable development initiatives.

He emphasized that under Governor Otti, Abia is focused on fostering international partnerships that will drive innovation, youth empowerment, and long-term socio-economic transformation across the state.

The reception, beyond celebrating the birthday of King Charles III, reinforced the longstanding bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, reflecting mutual respect, shared values, and a collective vision for a peaceful and progressive global community.
