IPAC PRESS RELEASE: PLAN TO SELL OFF UNCOLLECTED VOTERS’ CARDS IN ABIA STATE

It has come to our attention a plan by some INEC officers to trade off uncollected PVCs to a particular political party in Abia State.

These anti-democratic elements within INEC, intend to circumvent the wishes and aspirations of Abia State people by giving undue advantage to a political party just for corrupt money.

We have gathered that they have already collected half of the agreed inducement sum and will collect the rest immediately after they deliver the PVCs to the said party.

We as IPAC are warning against any move that will jeopardize the wishes of Abians and that will cause security bridge in the state.

We therefore call on INEC National Chairman and Resident Electoral Commission to immediately look into this issue and warn it staff against this.

We are also using this medium to advise every INEC staff to resist all temptation during this electioneering period and make sure they behavior above board to avoid going to jail.

We are also calling on security operatives to be on alert, watchful and to make sure anti-democratic elements do that destroy Abia State and the democracy we fought hard to get.

Signed:

IPAC Abia State Chairman

Rev. Augustine Ehiemere
