Abia State Govt Seals Off Public School Converted To Private Property In Aba | DETAILS + PHOTOS
The Abia State government has sealed off the property of Azikiwe Road Primary School in Aba, the commercial city of the state which was sold by past administration and converted to private property.
The school was sealed off by the Aba South Town Planning Authority in pursuant to section 70 of Abia state Urban and Regional Planning Board/Planning Authorities law of Abia state 2005 as amended by law number: 4 of 2015.
The Authority warned that anyone including “owner/occupier (s), neighbour (s) or passer (s) by who unseals or attempts to unseal the building is in contravention of section 8 of ABS-URPB&PA Law nos 4 of 2015 as amended and liable to imprisonment or fine or both”.
The school was abandoned before it was sold according to reports made available to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER.
It is not yet clear if the sealing of the building is related with the ongoing investigation to recover government properties converted to private use.
Recall that governor Alex Otti, set up a panel of inquiry for the recovery of stolen assets and funds from May 2015 till May 2019.
