The Abia State House of Assembly led by it’s Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has suspended 9 House members for one month.

The House also unanimously elected Hon. Mandela Obasi as the substantive deputy speaker of the Abia Assembly.
The suspension of the lawmakers followed the purported impeachment of Chinedum Orji which the Speaker and other lawmakers loyal to him described as a ‘charade’.
