Abia PDP pledges to operate as a shadow government, ensuring accountability and transparency in the state administration.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State marked Democracy Day by asserting its role as a shadow government, pledging to hold the current administration accountable and ensure transparency.
Deputy Chairman and Acting Publicity Secretary, Abraham Amah, reiterated the party’s commitment to scrutinize the actions of the present administration. “As a party, we are dedicated to upholding transparency and accountability in the conduct of government business,” Amah stated.
He highlighted that the PDP’s advocacy for transparency had recently led to the suspension of the Abia State Commissioner for Health. Amah further promised that the party would continue to diligently oversee the government’s activities to ensure they honor their commitments to the people.
“We stand ready to champion the interests of the citizens and advocate for a government that prioritizes the well-being of all at all times,” he added. The PDP also vowed to criticize any actions it perceives as missteps by the current administration, asserting its dedication to the betterment of Abia State.
