Abia PDP Crisis Deepens, As ADF Reveals Plot To Force Ward Chairmen To Sign Delegate Election

The end of the internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State is obviously not in sight with latest alarm raised by Abia State Democratic Force (ADF) led by one Chijioke Nwaubani.

 

In a press release, the group leader revealed that they are attempts to force PDP Ward Chairmen to sign documents which stipulates that the three-man delegate election held in their various wards in Abia State.

The group insisted that the move is dead on arrival and that no attempt or plan by state agents can resuscitate the three-man delegate election which did not hold in Abia State.

 

They called on ward chairmen to be resolute and not be intimidated by people whose plan is to destroy PDP and move to another party.

 

“Ordinarily, we should not have released a statement on this revelation, but because of the need to inform our people and make sure they are not intimidated by anyone that is why we making a statement”

“We have gathered intel of an attempt to force PDP ward chairmen to sign off that they conducted the failed three-man delegate election in their wards. The truth is that the three-man delegate election has failed and nothing can resuscitate it”

 

“The NWC of our party are aware of it and they also aware of the implication of using a none existing three-man delegate. The national chairman is aware of the legal implication and what that will cause the party in the state and at the national level”

“So, we urge ward chairman to remain resolute, focused and make sure the right person is voted during the governorship primaries”
