The Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State chapter, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, on the occasion of his 54th birthday.
In a statement personally signed by the Chairman of OMPAN Abia, Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro, the association celebrated Kalu as a dependable, visionary, and people-oriented leader whose dedication to both state and national development remains commendable.
OMPAN praised the Deputy Speaker’s unwavering commitment to grassroots engagement and digital media freedom, describing his leadership style as “humble, inclusive, and forward-thinking.”
Recalling a landmark moment in its history, the group expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Kalu for his vital role in the official opening of the OMPAN State Secretariat, a gesture they noted as unprecedented in the union’s journey.
“Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has proven over time that he is a true friend of the media,” Chief Promise Uzoma stated. “His support for OMPAN and the larger online media community has helped create a space for transparency, public engagement, and mutual respect between the press and elected leaders.”
