ABIA: NSCDC Conducts Fresh Refresher Course For Officers Bearing Arms |PHOTOS

Abia State command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has concluded refresher training for arm bearing officers. This is contained in a press release signed by Command PRO DSC Ndukwe Agu Egwu and made available to AFNEWS.

Based on the release, the Refresher Course is aimed at ensuring effective and efficient Light Weapons handling among arm bearing personnel of the Command.

Handing down the zero tolerance position of the Commandant General – Abdulahi Gana Muhammed on ” Accidental Discharge” and other unacceptable conducts with the riffle , the State Commandant- Mr. Vincent Ogu(JP) warned Participants to decist from every form of unprofessional engagement and to leverage on the opportunity offered by the retraining exercise to serve their country better. According to the State Commandant ” henceforth, armed Officers found brandishing riffles without proper certification, being properly dressed in the Corps’ approved uniforms or found firing to entertain audience shall be summarily dealt with in line with established rules of engagement”

Based on the information gathered, the retraining exercise will continue and shall be extended to every staff of the Command to ensure enhanced security services delivery to the people and minimize acts capable of bringing disrepute to the Corps.
