There were streams of joy and happiness in the faces of participants, officials of ASUBEB, teachers, Traditional Rulers and Opinion Leaders, as they gather to witness the handing over ceremony, of four (4) Class Room Block/Office.
Speaking at Aggrey Primary School field, Ibom, Arochukwu, on Thursday, 25th of June, 2020, the facilitator of the wonderful edifice and the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Onyekwere Mike Ukoha, first of thanked God for giving every one the enablement.
He explained that due to the passion he has for the pupil who will make use of the building, he decided to include some of the things that were not in the building contract.
He specifically, thanked the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, for his numerous roles and contributions in Education, adding that the Governor, in his wisdom, understands that Education is the key to everything on earth.
The lawmaker, used the medium, to urge the people to ensure they protect the building from destruction and called on the Traditional Rulers to assist in this regard.
He expressed delight that the children are eager to return to school, because they now have a better place for learning.
Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, further promised that if the school is protected, he will do more for the people, stressing that we all, must preserve what we have.
He went further to call on every one, to take the opportunity of the NIRSAL Micro Finance Bank in Arochukwu, to get involve in Agriculture and equally briefed them on the forthcoming business meeting, on Tuesday 30th, June, 2020.
In her speech, the Educational Secretary Arochukwu LGA, Mrs. Patricia Nwankwo, who represented the Executive Chairman Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), expressed delight on the structure, pointing out that it is second to none.
She said she feel humbled to receive the building, on behalf of the Executive Chairman ASUBEB.
Mrs. Nwankwo used the medium, to call on the lawmaker, to assist in the Community Primary School, Amoba, which according to her, has never gotten government interventions.
She prayed God to continue to guide and give the facilitator the wisdom, to represent his people well.
In her vote of thanks, the Headmistress of the school, Deaconess Faith Wilfred Okafor, who was overwhelmed with joy, expressed thanks to Hon. Mike Ukoha.
She also thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, ASUBEB officials, PTA and Teachers, saying that God has used them all to provide the good edifice for them.
The Headmistress used the opportunity, to appeal to the lawmaker, to procure seats for them, so that their joy will be full.
Also speaking at the occasion, a stakeholder in the area, Elder Mrs. Charity Achinivu, thanked God for using the peoples lawmaker mightily, to provide the building.
She also thanked Hon. Ukoha, for his untiring efforts within the space of time, saying that the people of Arochukwu LGA, are happy with what he is doing.
Contributing, Mazi Dr. Nkem Okoro, thanked God to the good job.
He stated that the people of Arochukwu LGA, never made any mistake by electing him as their representative and noted that the people are happy with what is going on.
In his closing remark, the Traditional Ruler of Ibom Isii, Mazi Kanu Nwa Kanu Okereke, thanked him for providing them with such wonderful project and assured that he will ensure the protection of the building.
