The road rehabilitation flag off facilitated by the member representing Umunneochi State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Honorable Barrister Okey Igwe and sponsored by Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu kicked off this morning at NDIAWA/LERU ROAD (EKE NDIAWA AXIS) AND UMUELEM/IHIE ROAD.
Speaking during the Flag off, the Honorable member assured the people of his commitment in making sure the aim of the project was actualized and assured that all the major roads in umunneochi will be accessible come this Christmas. He thanked the governor for generously sponsoring the project and assured him of the unalloyed support of Ndi Umunneochi.
Honorable Igwe maintained his initial statement that he doesn’t believe in grading roads, but applying more procedures to make sure the roads are in much better shape like covering with stone base after grading/compacting and spraying with MC3 to curb dust. The people certainly deserve better than dusty road in this Manhattan season.
Speaking during the flag of the GM, ABROMA, Engr. Okala appreciated Barr. Okey Igwe for his strong representation and commitment in making sure that his constituency is in good shape and promised to abide by the theme IT SHALL BE WELL WITH UMUNNEOCHI. Hhe assured that his team will make sure they deliver within the time frame given to them by the Hon member.
Chief Sir Dr Chris O Igwe MD/CEO Mainland oil and Gas Co Ltd subsidiary of Chrisnak group who was present commended Barr. Igwe over the good initiative and appreciated the executive Gov of Abia State Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for approving the request.
Sir Igwe went ahead and charged the contractor in charge to put the best of his skills. He also commended the good people of Umunneochi for their support so far.
