One Mrs Ojiugo David Kelechi have being accused of maltreating and assaulting her 10-year-old house girl for breaking a plate in Umuahia, the capital city of Abia State.
The woman who resides in Ukaegu estate, Umuobia, was said to have inserted her hands with pepper inside the motherless girl identified as Ifunanya.
She did not stop at that, as she made the little girl to drink hot water, which burnt her lips and tongues, bathed her with hot water mixed with pepper, flogged her with cane, and also used a hot iron on her.
The little girl suffered several burns on her mouth and body.
Little Ifunanya is currently at the Police clinic in Umuahia.
