ABIA: Honpi Foundation Gives Free Medical Outreach | READ DETAILS

An  NGO, Honpi Foundation carried out a one day medical outreach to the people of  Abia in ohafia LGA of Abia State on January 22, 2021.

The Foundation led by Kalu Prince Iruoha, the Executive Director of Honpi Centre of Awareness and Mitigation Port- Harcourt, carried out sensitization on cancer, eye problems and blood pressure.

Speaking, kalu Prince said the outreach was to give the people tips on healthy living, create awareness on cancer ,and to ensure that people’s eye sights are restored in honor of his late wife.

According to him, the Foundation is not being funded by anyone at the moment, but hope to get sponsors from all walks of life to help  people especially those who cannot afford proper medical facilities.

Responding, the people of Abia showed appreciation to Honpi for the unexpected medical outreach.

Some of the beneficiaries spoke with AFNEWS;

Oluchi Kalu a beneficiary of the outreach said , she didn’t expect to receive such gift without payment and thanked the Foundation for thinking out such a good idea.

Chinenye Orji also expressed her appreciation over the eye glass she received and prayed that the foundation will continue to grow.

Another beneficiary said he is happy to receive a pair of glass free of charge from Honpi, stating that it has enabled him to read things clearly without stress.

Highlight of the event was sensitization on  cancer and eye problem, healthy living, medical examinations, issuing of drugs and eye drops.
