The Abia State government led by the governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has officially flagged off as promised, palliative work on the collapsed Ikwuano-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene federal road.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that the governor ordered the state commissioner for works, Elder Bob Ogu, to contract PUMECO company for immediate work on the road which has been abandoned after years it was awarded by the federal government.

Recall that students of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), had last week staged a protest following the death of one of their colleagues on the road.
