ABIA: Governorship Aspirant, Akym Onyekwere Donates N5Million To Empower Isuikwuato Youths

An Abia born Economist and Philanthropist, Uche Akym Onyekwere has donated 5million naira to 5 youths of Amaba Community in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State.

The beneficiaries will receive one-million-naira capital each, to start a business after they are trained in any business of their choice.

 

Onyekwere who seems to be the youngest governorship aspirant at the moment in the state in his usual philanthropic gesture donated the sum on Sunday December 26, 2021, during the empowerment event of Amaba Daughters Association in Isuikwuato.

Earlier in his address at the event, Onyekwere appreciated the women for deeming him worthy of Chairing the event, noting that the Association has been a platform for promoting unity, care, sharing, and creating awareness on matters concerning the community.

 

“This organization has set the pace for us to start the race of carrying everyone along with us and no one is left behind in creating a successful and wealthy community built on the principle of God’s word.”

Akym Onyekwere appreciated everyone who contributed to the birth and growth of the Association since 2019 till date, noting that the essence of the convergence was to encourage, support and empower the Association to achieve its objectives as it cannot do it singlehandedly.

 

“It is important to mention at this juncture that this cannot be possible without the presence, support and participation of each and every one of us here today.

 

“In 2019 when this Association was conceived, these wonderful ladies empowered a total of 15 men and women of our community. This empowerment has assisted the citizens of our community to revisit the state of their mindset to achieve a positive result in our way of thinking and determination to set and achieve both our individual and collective goals.

“They have started a movement in a positive direction. I am therefore using this opportunity to call all to come together let’s join hands to work towards this common goal which is making everyone in our community to be self-sustained, leaving no one behind by being conscious of the welfare of the people around us” Onyekwere said.
