Reactions have continued to trail the nomination of a young Abian, Mr. Onyema Wachukwu who lives in the Diaspora as a Commissioner nominee in the State.
In an interactive session, some of the anonymous reactions to this development argued that it has always been the forte of the government when it comes to political appointment to favor those outside the shores of the country thereby sidelining the well-educated and vibrant youths who are home base only to leak their wounds.

They further lamented that it is only during elections that their relevance are recognized by politicians who always use them to achieve their selfish gains and after that, they are dumped like bunch of rags and advised those in the authority to learn to think home ward.
However, some reacted differently on the appointment, saying that it is a welcome development for a youth to be given a position in the executive arm of government in the State, adding that whether the affected person a home base or not provided he knows the workings and the expertise to do the job well.
They quickly cited the case of 27 years old Seun Fakorede who was recently appointed as the Oyo State Commissioner for Youths/Sports by Governor Seyi Makinde, pointing out that such is a welcome development.
Mr. Onyema Wachukwu is an Abian who schooled and has lived most of his life abroad, if his nomination/screening scales through by the State House of Assembly, it is expected that he will deploy his wealth of experience as a young and vibrant youth to the overall development of the State.
