ABIA: Alleged Killer Arrested In Isuikwuato, Remanded In Prison

A Magistrate Court in Umuahia has remanded one Ugochukwu Nwannaji from Ozara Imenyi in Isuikwuato local government in Correctional Centre for an alleged mu-rder of two persons.

 

Nnaji who was on Tuesday paraded before the court on a two- count charge of beheading one Oyai Moses at Otampa community in Isuikwuato LGA  and Mercy Chukwu at Ezeukwu in Bende local government area on 24th September 2016 and 10th October 2016 respectively was arrested by the vigilantes in his community and handed over to the police.

Presiding over the case, the Chief Magistrate, Ugo Nkpa refused to grant the culprit bail as the court lacks jurisdiction to preside over the matter.

 

Chief Magistrate Nkpa adjourned the bail application to 25th of October.
