ABIA 2023: Why I Am The Best Candidate To Represent Umuahia South State Constituency – Chief Egwu |WATCH VIDEO
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Assembly candidate for Umuahia South State Constituency, Chief Emmanuel Uwadinachi Egwu, alias ‘Ebekuo Esere’ on Tuesday, said he has all it takes to represent his constituents at the 8th Assembly come 2023.
Noting some of his antecedents, while featuring on AF-TELEVISION Programme ‘Focal Point’ Egwu said he has brought in digital innovation into the real estate business in Abia state, assuring that such innovation would be seen in the Assembly if elected.

“I am well- travelled; I have experience; I am self- made” Egwu said.
He warned against giving power to people who are not self- made as they would seek for material gains alone without considering the needs of the people who elected them into office.
“I have the connection; I know the core duties of a legislator. I am going to bring on board competence because over sighting the executive is the core duty of a legislator.
“this romance between the executive and the legislative is not healthy; it’s not helping the system” he added.
According to Egwu, some house members only speak during budget presentation because ‘their interest are protected somewhere”.
“I am coming into the system to bring about a change because I have tested life. There is nothing there that would move me other than to speak for the voiceless; to defend the defenseless, he stated.
Egwu noted that the incessant cry of Abia pensioners is owed to the failure of the legislative to checkmate the executive, adding that “What is bringing me into this race is the passion, the zeal to serve humanity. I am going to bring about a paradigm shift.”
