Enyinnaya Appolos, former aide to the Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has formally declared interest to represent the people of Obingwa West State Constituency in 2023 at the Abia State House of Assembly.
Speaking on his motive to represent his constituency in the Abia state House of Assembly, Appolos noted that there exists a gap of accessibility between representatives and the people who has needs to be met.
“Am going to fill that gap because I am accessible, reachable. My people can always see me whenever they want to see me”.
Appolos stated that he is not intimidated by other contenders, adding that he had made proper consultations before declaring.
“This is not the time for anybody to sit in his house and think that one big man somewhere will give him the ticket. We are all going to the field and am prepared to meet all aspirants in the field.”
He assured that if given the mandate by his people, he will handle it with care.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the lawmaker representing Abia south senatorial district, described Enyinnaya Appolos, as a very good person who will be an effective legislator if he gets there.
The lawmaker noted that the people want the best representation for Obingwa West constituency.
“Politics is not for us to have any serious differences within ourselves. All of us are PDP, all of us are working for the interest of the people”.
He added that any other aspirant who calls for his support, will get it as it is healthy for democracy.
