A member of the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Jerry Uzosike has lost his precious mother to the cold hands of death at age of 77.

Hon. Uzosike who represents Umuahia South State Constituency, broke the sad news during plenary on the floor of the house on  Tuesday the 24th day of September 2019, explained that during the campaign period, his mother stood by him through her prayers and words of encouragement which kept him moving and contributed immensely towards his victory at the poll.

The lawmaker while  describing his late mother as his number one

fan, was full of tears as he  advised that those whose mother’s are still alive should ensure that they take care of them very as mothers are special gift from God.

He used the medium to inform the members that his late mother would be commited to mother earth on the 30th day of December 2019, and used the medium to invite them to attend.

Reacting, the Speaker Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji on behalf of the members consoled Hon. Uzosike on the death of his mother while promising to ensure that the lawmakers attend the burial when the time comes.
