A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Designer Ohiri O. Lewis, has congratulated former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, FCA, CON, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a proven leader, strategic mobiliser, and a true grassrooter whose influence remains deeply rooted among the people.

In a congratulatory message made available to All Facts Newspaper on Monday, Ohiri Lewis praised Dr. Ogah’s enduring leadership qualities, noting that his political relevance transcends titles and official positions.

According to him, Dr. Ogah has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose, vision, and empathy, earning the trust and loyalty of people across party lines and communities.

“Dr. Uche Ogah has proven himself not just as a leader, but as a mobiliser who understands the grassroots and connects genuinely with the people. He is a true grassrooter whose politics is driven by service, not self-interest,” Ohiri stated.

The APC chieftain noted that Dr. Ogah’s political journey and public service record reflect uncommon discipline, strategic thinking, and people-oriented leadership, stressing that such qualities are increasingly rare in contemporary politics.

Ohiri further commended the former minister’s contributions to Abia State’s political development, youth empowerment, and economic growth, pointing out that his investments in people and ideas have left lasting impressions across the state.

He added that even outside public office, Dr. Ogah continues to play the role of a stabiliser, bridge-builder, and mentor, offering guidance and support to emerging leaders while promoting unity and progressive politics.

Describing the former minister as a leader with a listening ear and open door, Ohiri said Dr. Ogah’s grassroots appeal is built on accessibility, humility, and consistent engagement with ordinary citizens.

“As he marks another year, we celebrate a man whose leadership has inspired many and whose commitment to Abia State remains unwavering. I wish him sound health, long life, and greater opportunities to continue serving humanity,” Ohiri concluded.

Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, a respected industrialist and former federal minister, has remained a prominent figure in Abia and national politics, widely regarded for his reform-driven mindset, philanthropy, and capacity to mobilise support across political and social divides.
