ABIA: Ikpeazu rolls out administration’s achievements; Says state set to begin digital learning | READ DETAILS

The body of Special Advisers of the Abia State Government yesterday hosted the executive governor in a get-together, during the event the governor’s giant strides were greatly applauded by the chairman of the body, Chief Collins Nwakanma who in his speech stated that the governor has thrilled Abians beyond their widest imagination as in governing the state.

“we are proud to be associated with you especially on your giant strides on solid infrastructural development in Abia State, your road infrastructures are built to last and second to none, your signature is on every school in Abia State; no wonder Abia State is still the best in WAEC exams. Your school feeding program is among the best in Nigeria”, the chairman said.

Also in the get-together the governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu reiterated some of the giant strides of his administration.
In his words, he said: “Between 2015 till date, every pregnant woman in Abia State attends antenatal and primary health care services (754 scattered across the various wards of this state) without paying one naira” he said.
“938 Aids (Special Advisers and Senior Special Advisers) appointed in Abia Central, 468 Aids from Abia North, 440 Aids from Abia South.
Abia State has done more cement roads than any other state in the south east
Abia alone among the 36 states of the federation have been feeding school children from Primary 1-6 for the past 6 years.
Abia State has reversed the drift from public schools to private schools back to public schools from 150,000 pupils in 2015 to 650,000 in 2019.
Abia State employed have engaged 5300 women cooking food for school children and each of them gets at least N120,000 monthly.
Our teachers will begin to teach in a digital way very soon because the government is making provisions for digital platforms and training teachers to use same in their teaching practice, the governor said.

An honourary award was conferred on the governor and the deputy governor at the event.
Others conferred with awards at the event were: Dr. Aham Uko (Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development), Chief Dr. Nzeribe Okekwere (Security Expert, Real Estate Manager), Sir Anyaso Anyaso (The Director General of BCA – Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State), Hon. Chief Collins Nwakanma (Chairman, Body of Advisers and SA to the governor on Water Resources), Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Erondu Ogbonnaya (SA to the governor on diaspora).
