The 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State and a current chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr Alex Otti was yesterday December 30th,2020 conferred with a chieftaincy title as he commissioned the Mbalano/Umuasua road in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State attracted by him and constructed by the the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
During the project commissioning by the APC chieftain, he disclosed that he used his contacts within the corridors of power at the federal level to attract the road so that the lots of the rural dwellers could be better. Dr. Otti further stated that the essence of power is to make live better for the people and even without power he is doing his best through his contacts to attract projects for the people of Abia State.
During the project commissioning, the traditional ruler of Umuasua Autonomous Community His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Godwin M. Ugbam (FRCS, FWACS, FACS) thanked Dr Alex Otti for the road and conferred on him the Honorary Chieftaincy Title of “IHIE MBA of Umuasua Autonomous Community.

On his part,the president general of the community Rotn. Chief Gideon Akanwoke while speaking appreciated Otti for the road he attracted and that the leadership of the community is very happy that the 4.5km road is completed and on time.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion includes,former Chief of Army Staff,Lt.Gen.Azubuike Ihejirika(Rtd), the contractor that handled the road project Engr Chibuike Achigbu and numerous personalities.
Kenneth Ahia SAN a son of Umuasua and a friend to Alex Otti equally gave a background to the project, thanked otti for all he did for the community and hosted Otti.
