[Just In] Violence in Arochukwu: Abia Minority Whip Calls For Calm

The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Onyekwere Mike Ukoha, has described the violence in Arochukwu by group of yet to be identified boys, as most unfortunate.

Speaking in a Press Statement, the Lawmaker condemned the inhuman attack on people of Amuvi and Asaga villages, in Arochukwu, and the destruction of their properties.

According to the release, the Lawmaker explained that this is the first time in the history of Arochukwu Kingdom, where such dastardly act will take place and used the medium to call on youths of Arochukwu to remain calm; and desist from any act of vandalism and wanton destruction of properties.

He thanked the Security personnel for heeding to his call to restore normalcy in Arochukwu, adding that peace remain the vital ingredient needed in every situation.

The Lawmaker further promised to ensure that all those who perpetrated the dastardly act will be made to face the full weight of the law.
