Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Saturday told Governor Okezie Ikpeazu that the Almighty God has disappointed all those who wished him evil.
Speaking during the Governor’s Thanksgiving Service which held at the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Aba, Rt Hon Orji urged the Governor to continue to have faith in God who has shown him mercy.
“You said here that there were those that wished you disappeared; also remember that there are those who never wished you become Governor, but here you are today, you are the Governor.
“What happened to you can happen to any human being, but the difference between you and other people is that you have a good heart”, the Speaker said.
He further prayed God to continue to sustain and protect the Governor from all troubles.
“The good Lord will continue to look into your heart and save you from all troubles and distractions.
“All those who wished you death, will be disappointed when you will hand over Power peacefully by the 29th of May, 2023 and still wax stronger in all your endeavours beyond then.
“Those wishing you evil, will have to pass through us first, before getting to you,” the Speaker declared!
He urged the Governor to block his ears against divisive and destructive gossips peddled by favour seekers and continue to do that which is for the betterment of the State.
The Speaker thanked God for healing the Governor and also appreciated all members of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu’s cabinet for standing by him during his ill health.
