Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has felicitated with Abians in the Diaspora, assuring them of quick passage of Abians in Diaspora Commission Bill 2020 which, according to him, “seeks to harness the potentials of Abia State citizens in the Diaspora and create an enabling environment for them to seamlessly and fully participate in the sociopolitical and economic development of the State”.

The Speaker who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Saturday further said that the contributions of Nigerians in the Diaspora to the nation’s development cannot be overemphasized, saying that the Federal Government has done well to recognise and set a day aside to celebrate them.

Recall that the Federal Government had set July 25 every year as National Diaspora Day
