The planned protest by a group known as Abia Coalition against Corruption and Good governance, scheduled to take place today in Abia State has failed.
Although, few members of the group were on ground earlier in the day, but anti protesters resisted the protest taking place.
AFNews reporters, have it that one Barrister Emperor who is the leader of the protest was almost lynched by the anti protesters at Okpara Square in Umuahia.
Security operatives were equally on ground to ensure normalcy.
At the moment, the protest is on going in Abuja and the protesters are marching towards EFCC office to submit their petition.
Normalcy has equally returned in Umuahia.
