ENUGU: 82 division of the Nigerian army conducts A 15 kilometres route march in metropolis

A 15 kilometres route march was conducted in Enugu metropolis by .The 82 division of the Nigerian army on Friday.

The exercise which started by 6 o clock in the morning, ended by 08:30 am.

It took off from Abakpa cantonment through Abakpa junction, new haven, fire service, Ogui Junction and back to Abakpa cantonment.

it would be recalled that this  routine route march is an exercise that was introduced by the Chief Of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai to ensure that Nigerian Army personnel keep fit and are physically and mentally sound to enable them squarely face the contemporary and emerging security challenges facing the nation.

The route march has been fully institutionalized and is now a scheduled Nigerian army physical training exercise that all formations and units are expected to conduct.

A total of 253 soldiers and 60 officers participated in the exercise while about 30 serving Corp members of the division also took part in the march.
