Prince Dan Kalu hails from Amaeke Abam in Arochukwu LGA.,former Transition Committee Chairman Arochukwu LGA in 2007, the position he judiciously used in employing over 200 Abam indigenes in the Council and other clans.
(Oke Mkpu) as he is popularly called, embraced wealth at a very young age. He is a successful business man, an Industrialist with his gigantic Bottled water industry in Aba and he is today a politician of repute who has numerous achievements to the glory of God.
For instance, in 2001 before he became the Transition Committee Chairman Arochukwu LGA,he donated 100 bags of Cement to his community for the building of their Town Hall from foundation stage including the roofing of AGC pastor’s house Amaeke Abam that was brought down by heavy storm.
His benevolence is being enjoyed by Churches, Elders, women, men and youths of his community as their great son.
In 2003, his attention was drawn to that and he single handedly gave the total sum of one million Naira (#1.000.000.00) non refundable and as God may have it was the position Abam enjoyed till Speakership.
Still in the same year 2003,Abam Onyerubi was in need of six hundred thousand Naira demanded from Govt. to actualize the creation of Abam LGA, his attention was drawn and he donated the sum of one million naira (#1,000,000) joyfully Late Chief S N Okpi whose house at School Road Umuahia the event took place in the presence of Abam dignitaries heave a sigh of relief that 2nd Ugwu Abam has emerged.
As the TC Chairman Arochukwu LGA the following achievements were made:
*Built a modern administrative block which is presently the Chairman/Deputy Chairman’s office.
*Installed street lights in the council.
*attracted a modern health centre in his community.
*Reticulated water in the council.
*a borehole in his village Amaeke Abam and Idima Abam.
*contributed immensely in attracting a secondary school in his community and ensure Imanome company that was in charge of Abia Rubber Estate to donate the sum of N6mm naira for the construction of Ibinaji Secondary School etc.
Prince Dan Kalu’s impressive performance in Local Govt administration made the former Governor of Abia State Chief T A Orji (Ochendo) appoint him the leader Ochendo Youth Foundation (OYF) Aba chapter chapter as he was incharge of all Pro-Groups including YORK.
Impressively too and based on outstanding performance in calming down the city of Enyimba,. He introduced the slogan ” Who say man no dey, man dey’.Prince Dan was appointed the TC Chairman Aba North LGA and the following achievements were equally made:
*Restored power in the council headquarters within 6 months.
*Asphalted roads
*employed countless number of widows from Eziama in Aba North.
Prince Dan, a man so dear in the heart of Eze Isaac Ajuonu Ikonne (Enyi 1 of Aba) as a TC Chairman.
He was a member of CLASSIC FRONT INTERNATIONAL were prominent Abians pitched their tent including Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu, Dr.Cosmos Ndukwe. etc.
Today Prince Kalu is a member of ABA CONNECT an association of Aba brought up multimillionaires worldwide.
2019,He has been reappointed as Transition Chairman by Gov. Okezie V. Ikpazu base on his track record of achievements in the LGA.
The only Transition Chairman who appoints 24 widows as personal assistant across board….
He empowered his councillor by donating motorcycles to 20 member councillors and doing more.
The only man that has worked with three sitting Governors. His a honest man per excellence.
He does not discriminate based on his social status and academics as he is down to earth.
Prince Dan Kalu is a goal getter, a top striker in politics as he appreciates the leadership style of all.
