Former Abia North senatorial candidate and APC Chieftain, Chief Dr. Onyekachi Iheme has advised Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to avoid distracting Abia North Senator Elect, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu with judicial issues to allow him focus on working for Abia North Constituents and delivering on his mandate in the senate.
Chief Iheme stated this while interacting with the media in Abuja on so many developmental issues relating to Nigeria, Abia North and his community Acha in Isuikwuato LGA.
The business mogul explained that the legal issues which started since when the former governor left office 2007 is obviously a distraction at the moment, aimed at making sure that the senator elect of Abia North does not deliver on his mandate.
“This case has dragged for so long; it is now a distraction for the senator elect. Abia North people have so many developmental issues and we believe that the emergence of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is a big opportunity to get most of these infrastructural issues solved because of his political sagacity at the national polity. So, it is important that EFCC does not distract him so that he can deliver”
On the same vein, Chief Dr. Onyekachi Iheme reminded the Abia North Senator Elect on the need to make sure that the abandoned 4-kilometer portion of the 10-kilometer road between Ovim and Acha community all in Isuikwuato LGA is completed.
“I want to remind the senator elect of that 4-kilometer portion of the 10-kilometer road between Ovim and Acha community which was abandoned before his intervention through Presidential Emergency Intervention Scheme. He should remember that Acha people voted him massively with the understanding that he will deliver on that road project completely.
Chief Iheme finally called on Abia North people and ndi igbo in general to support Orji Kalu so that he can be vocal for them and deliver for ndi igbos in general.
