Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has reacted as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki lost his bid for re-election into the Senate.

AFN had reported that Saraki lost to Dr Yahaya Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Sat the Saturday’s Senatorial election.

Oloriegbe polled a total of 123, 808 votes to defeat the Senate President who scored 68, 994 votes in the four local governments of Kwara Central Senatorial District.

But reacting, Dino Melaye in a tweet commended Saraki for defending democracy.

According to him, Saraki promotes national heritage.

He tweeted, “Sen. Bukola Saraki, the indefatigable defender of our democracy. True Patriot and promoter of our national Heritage. Every orchestration, gang up, manipulation and deliberate wickedness against you is temporal and evaporative.

“ You remain my boss, brother and friend. I love you.”
