Note of Appreciation
Nde Isiala Ngwa; nde oma,
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the result of the Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency in favour of the PDP candidate, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha and I wish to congratulate him, regardless.
The outcome may not be what I had expected given the quality of outreach I brought into the system. The process may not have been fair and free from manipulations, but I am duty bound as a good sportsman to accept the result as the verdict of our people.
I wish to express my profound gratitude to all those who believed in our cause and made unimaginable and unquantifiable sacrifices to support my ambition. I am also very grateful to our party men and women who gave their time and dedication to build SDP from the scratch into the formidable party that it has become in our Federal Constituency.
This election was never about my personal interest. It was about the people of Isiala Ngwa and their interest, the paramount of which is that we must be heard as a people in the comity of nations. I will continue to champion that cause regardless of the outcome of this election and I call on others to do so irrespective of party affiliation.
I will continue to offer my genuine efforts to the task of making Isiala Ngwa great. I will endeavour to drive the narratives that gained traction in this election, believing that in time, our people will realize that things can be done differently. I take pride in knowing that I played by the rules and maintained the sacrosanctity of those sterling principles that are absolutely dear to me.
