Two container loads of election materials have caught fire at the INEC office close to the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Anambra State.
The cause of the fire outbreak is unknown as men of the fire service are currently battling to put out the fire.
Anambra Broadcasting Service has spoken with Mr Leo Nkedife, INEC PRO in Anambra State to ascertain the types of materials affected by the blaze, and how that will affect Saturday’s election. He promised to release a formal statement after meeting with Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner.
