Eastern Nigeria is set for a colourful and memorable Easter celebration as Amstel Malta announces plans to host a multi-city Easter celebration tagged the Amstel Malta Easter Village across Aba, Awka, and Enugu.
The Easter Village experience, scheduled to take place from April 4 to April 6, 2026, is designed as a family-friendly festival aimed at bringing families together to celebrate Easter through entertainment, cultural experiences, games, food, music, and relaxation.
The initiative is part of Amstel Malta’s continued commitment to promoting family values, togetherness, and community bonding, especially during festive periods that hold strong cultural and social significance across Eastern Nigeria.
Easter is widely regarded as one of the biggest festive seasons in the region, often marked by homecomings, family reunions, and community celebrations. Recognizing the importance of this period, the brand designed the Easter Village to provide a safe, vibrant, and culturally engaging environment where families can celebrate together.
Speaking on the initiative, Francis Obiajulu, Senior Brand Manager for Amstel Malta and Hi-Malt, explained that the Easter Village concept was created to reflect the core values of togetherness, joy, and shared experiences that define the Easter season.
According to him, the Easter period is deeply rooted in family traditions, reconnections, and celebrations, particularly in Eastern Nigeria, and the brand is excited to create an environment where families can gather, relax, and celebrate in a meaningful way.
Each of the three cities — Aba, Awka, and Enugu — will host a unique version of the Easter Village tailored to reflect local culture and community identity, while still maintaining the overall festive atmosphere and experience associated with the Amstel Malta brand.
The event is expected to feature entertainment for children and adults, cultural displays, music performances, food courts, games, relaxation spots, and interactive family activities designed to create memorable experiences for attendees.
The multi-city Easter Village initiative further highlights Amstel Malta’s strategy of strengthening community engagement and connecting with consumers through cultural and family-centered experiences, particularly in regions where family, tradition, and community gatherings remain an important part of social life.
Residents of Aba, Awka, Enugu, and surrounding areas are expected to witness one of the biggest Easter family events in the region as preparations continue for the three-day celebration.
