The Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU) Worldwide has expressed deep appreciation to the Abia State Government for the successful enlistment and final shortlisting of Isuikwuato Vigilante Security Personnel into the Abia State Homeland Security Agency.
In a statement signed by its President General, Chidiebere Uguru, JP, the Union described the development as “a major milestone in strengthening community-based security and safeguarding the lives and properties of the people of Isuikwuato, Abia State, the South East, and beyond.”
According to the Union, the enlistment marks a significant step in the state’s ongoing efforts to build a modern and coordinated grassroots security framework capable of responding to emerging threats and restoring public confidence.
IDU Worldwide commended the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for granting approval for the recruitment, describing it as further proof of the administration’s dedication to the safety and wellbeing of citizens across the state.
Special praise was also extended to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Homeland Security, Mr. Chukwunonye Alajemba, who initiated the engagement with the community, and to Col. C.K. Ukoha, who saw the process through to completion.
The Union equally acknowledged the steady support of prominent Isuikwuato sons serving within Abia’s security architecture—Gen. Azubuike Onyeabo Ihejirika (rtd.), Ugwumba Ray Nkemdirim, and Gen. Victor Nnorom—for their roles in strengthening the partnership between government and local communities in ensuring a safer Abia.
“We are grateful for the collective efforts that have contributed to this milestone. This gesture demonstrates that Abia State is firmly committed to building a secure, peaceful and progressive environment for all,” the IDU President General stated.
IDU Worldwide prayed for continued blessings and divine guidance on all stakeholders working to maintain the security of Abia State.
