The forthcoming 2025 Isuikwuato Nwanneukwu Cultural Festival has received a major boost as the Father of the Day, former Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato LGA, Chief Engr. Charles Omseie Ojukwu (Obioha Isuikwuato), has formally endorsed the event and called for overwhelming community participation.

A delegation of the Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU) and members of the Cultural Festival Organizing Committee paid Chief Ojukwu a courtesy visit as part of ongoing mobilization efforts ahead of the December 23–24 cultural celebration set to hold at the Isuikwuato High School football pitches.

The delegation, led by the IDU National Vice President General, Hon. Harrison Chukwudi Egbe, presented updates on preparations for the two-day festival. Speaking during the meeting, Chief Ojukwu expressed deep appreciation for the vision, planning, and cultural revival the festival represents, noting that Isuikwuato must protect and celebrate its cultural heritage.

He described the festival as “a unifying project that deserves the full backing of every son and daughter of Isuikwuato, both at home and in the diaspora.”

Chief Ojukwu further commended the organizers for their consistency and assured them of his full involvement before, during, and after the event. He emphasized that cultural occasions like this strengthen unity, preserve identity, and promote development within the clan.

During the interaction, Hon. Enyioma Ekebuike, IDU National Secretary General, presented the full schedule of activities lined up for the festival and highlighted the need for continued collaboration with respected stakeholders such as Chief Ojukwu.

The organizing committee also acknowledged the expected presence of several dignitaries, including the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, who is billed to attend as Special Guest of Honour, and General Ike Nwachukwu (Rtd.), who will serve as Chairman of the Occasion.

Members of the delegation included:

Hon. Harrison Chukwudi Egbe – IDU National Vice President General

Chief Enyioma Ekebuike – IDU National Secretary General

Chief Emeka Maxwell Madukwu – IDU National Treasurer

Chief Emeka Onyeabo – IDU National Assistant Secretary General

Mrs Okwudiri Umuesiobi – Member, Entertainment Sub-Committee

With Chief Ojukwu’s endorsement, expectations for a historic cultural outing continue to rise as the countdown to December begins.
