Kylian Mbappe has cemented his place in El Clásico history, joining an elite group that includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho by scoring in his fourth consecutive match against arch-rivals Barcelona.

The French superstar, who became Real Madrid’s latest ‘Galactico’ in the summer of 2024, was signed to make a difference in the biggest games.

A Tale of Goals and Heartbreak

Mbappé’s El Clásico journey began with a humbling 4-0 defeat, in which he failed to score. He found the net in his next two encounters, a 5-2 loss in the Spanish Super Cup and a 3-2 Copa del Rey defeat but couldn’t prevent his team from falling short.

His most spectacular performance came in a seven-goal thriller on May 11, when he scored a stunning hat-trick at Camp Nou. Despite his individual brilliance, Real Madrid suffered a painful 4-3 loss.

In the most recent showdown at the Bernabeu, Mbappe opened the scoring with a clinical finish across the goalkeeper after a precise through ball from Jude Bellingham. This goal marked his fourth straight Clasico with a goal, a feat only two other players have achieved in the 21st century.

The French forward is now the third player to score in four consecutive El Clásico matches across all competitions this century, with six goals in that span.

He follows Barcelona legend Ronaldinho, who scored five goals in four games between 2004 and 2006, and Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo, who netted seven goals in six straight games in 2012.
