Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, Mayor Emeritus of Ohafia LGA, has congratulated Abia Attorney General, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, on his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He described the honour as a proud moment for Abia State, a reward for years of diligence, and an inspiration for younger generations.

…. Says Uwanna’s recognition is a pride for Abia and an inspiration for the younger generation

Umuahia, Abia State – The elevation of Barrister Ikechukwu Uwanna, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Abia State, to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has continued to attract waves of congratulatory messages from across the country.

Among the latest to commend the new SAN is Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, Mayor Emeritus of Ohafia Local Government Area and respected statesman from Abiriba.

In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to the press, Bourdex described Uwanna’s elevation as not just a personal milestone but a monumental achievement for the entire people of Abia State.

“I received with great joy the news of the elevation of our own Attorney General of Abia State, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. This honour is a shining testament to his years of diligence, brilliance at the Bar, and unwavering commitment to the cause of justice,” Chief Ogba stated.

The seasoned businessman, philanthropist and politician noted that the recognition is a source of pride to Abians everywhere, stressing that Uwanna’s journey reflects that merit, hard work, and integrity still receive due reward in Nigeria’s legal profession.

According to him, Uwanna’s success should serve as a motivating challenge to younger lawyers and indeed every Abian to strive for distinction in their chosen careers.

He further prayed for the new SAN, urging him to use his elevated position to bring more honour to Abia State and Nigeria by dispensing justice with greater courage, wisdom, and fairness.

Chief Ogba concluded:

“On behalf of my family and constituency, I extend heartfelt congratulations to our Attorney General. May this well-deserved recognition strengthen his hands to serve both Abia State and Nigeria with even greater wisdom, courage, and fairness.”

The conferment of SAN remains the highest recognition in Nigeria’s legal profession, awarded to only the finest and most distinguished lawyers who have excelled in advocacy and contributed significantly to the advancement of the law.
