Al Hilal dump Manchester City out of FIFA Club World Cup

Al Hilal Knocks Out Manchester City from FIFA Club World Cup in Thrilling 4-3 Upset.

Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League delivered a seismic shock by defeating defending champions Manchester City 4-3 in a breathtaking last-16 tie at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Under the bright lights of Orlando, Florida Al Hilal made a statement for Saudi Arabia football.

The scoring began early when Bernardo Silva put Manchester City in front in the 9th minute with a clinical finish.

However, Al Hilal responded just before halftime, with Marcos Leonardo equalizing in the 46th minute with a well-taken goal.

The second half saw the tempo rise as Malcom scored for Al Hilal in the 52nd minute, giving the Saudi side the lead.

The pendulum swung again three minutes later when Erling Haaland equalized for City in the 55th minute.

The game proceeded to extra time and Kalidou Koulibaly put Al Hilal back in front in the 94th minute with a towering header from a corner.

Manchester City fought back once more, with Phil Foden equalizing in the 104th minute.

The decisive moment arrived in the 112th minute when Marcos Leonardo scored again that ultimately proved to be the winner.

The victory means that Al Hilal will take on Brazilian side Fluminense in the quarterfinal.
