ABUJA, NIGERIA — Abia State has once again demonstrated its commitment to international cooperation and economic diplomacy as Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, the National Assembly Liaison Officer, represented Governor Alex C. Otti at a high-profile diplomatic dinner hosted by the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria.
The occasion, held in Abuja, marked the 77th Independence Anniversary of the State of Israel and was attended by an impressive gathering of senior diplomats, top Nigerian political figures, and international stakeholders.
Representing Governor Otti, Hon. Chinasa used the opportunity to highlight Abia State’s peaceful climate and pro-investment policies, positioning the state as an ideal partner for global collaboration.
“Abia is open for business,” Hon. Chinasa declared in his address. “We are ready to partner with countries around the world to drive economic growth, attract foreign investment, and foster sustainable development.”
Chinasa emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Governor Alex Otti, Abia State has become a beacon of stability and reform, making it attractive for international alliances in sectors ranging from agriculture and technology to trade and cultural exchange.
CORDIAL TIES WITH ISRAEL
A symbolic handshake and warm exchange between Hon. Chinasa and Israeli High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Michael Freeman, further cemented the growing diplomatic rapport between Abia State and the State of Israel.

Mr. Freeman, in his remarks, reaffirmed Israel’s long-standing commitment to peace, development, and bilateral cooperation, especially with Nigeria. He noted that Israel and Nigeria have shared over 60 years of diplomatic relations, a history that continues to yield opportunities for innovation, education, and mutual support.
He also reiterated Israel’s willingness to support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, echoing similar themes of peace and progress that Governor Otti is implementing in Abia.
ABIA’S GLOBAL OUTLOOK UNDER OTTI
This diplomatic outing signals Abia State’s increasing visibility in global conversations and its readiness to tap into international partnerships. The participation of a key official at such a strategic event reinforces Governor Otti’s broader vision of transforming Abia into a hub of international business, investment, and diplomatic engagement.
Analysts see this move as a calculated step by the Otti administration to attract credible international partners, especially as Abia positions itself for economic diversification and sustainable growth.
BUILDING PEACE THROUGH DIPLOMACY
Hon. Chinasa also stressed the importance of peace as the foundation of any development agenda.
“We cannot talk about economic growth without first securing peace. That is why Governor Otti’s leadership is focused on creating a stable, investor-friendly environment in Abia,” he said.
With increasing attention on Abia’s reforms and its global outreach, the Otti administration is steadily reshaping the state’s image from a once-troubled economy to one that is thriving on innovation, accountability, and partnerships that span continents.
