Tinubu retreats to France while Nigeria bleeds? Peter Obi calls out the president in a fiery post. Full controversial details inside. Click to read now!

… Obi Tells Tinubu: ‘Come Back From France, Nigeria Is Bleeding!’

Former Presidential Candidate Peter Obi has issued a scathing call-out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, demanding an immediate end to his two-week “strategic retreat” in France amid worsening insecurity and bloodshed across Nigeria.

Obi, in a sharply worded statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), described Tinubu as a “retreating CEO” of a company in chaos, accusing the President of abandoning his post while the nation descends deeper into violence, death, and disorder.

President Tinubu left Nigeria on April 2, 2025, for what the Presidency tagged a “working visit to France” aimed at evaluating midterm performance and planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary. However, critics argue that the timing could not have been worse.

Since the President’s departure, over 150 Nigerians have reportedly been killed, with Plateau, Benue, Zamfara, and Borno States witnessing a terrifying spike in attacks, killings, and abductions. Obi noted that even the Niger Delta is grappling with repeated pipeline explosions, highlighting what he termed a nation in distress.

“Amid all these, the CEO of the troubling company called Nigeria is retreating in a faraway land in France from the Company’s headquarters,” Obi declared.

Obi expressed deep frustration, calling the President’s absence during such a critical period unacceptable and dangerous. He said Tinubu should immediately suspend his stay in France and return home to take charge.

“I am compelled at this time in our lives as a nation to call on our retreating President’s attention to the security challenges at home,” Obi wrote.

From renewed insurgency in the North-East, where Borno leaders lament the return of terror, to the abductions and killings in the South-East, Obi stressed that no region is spared.

“The story is the same across the country: insecurity, suffering, and neglect while the leader escapes responsibility,” Obi lamented.

He further questioned the relevance of a retreat in peaceful France, while ordinary Nigerians face horror daily in their communities.

“The fight for a better Nigeria is not about individuals. It is about ensuring every citizen can feel and benefit from the decisions of those in power,” he added.

As outrage grows, Obi’s comment adds weight to rising national concern over the President’s silence and physical absence, at a time when leadership is desperately needed.
