WATCH VIDEO: Report Any Tout Harassing You To Security Agencies – Gov. Otti Tells Motorists

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has mandated commercial motorists in Umuahia and Aba, the commercial city of the state, to report touts harassing or extorting them to security agents.

The governor while speaking on Thursday, restated that his government do not use touts for revenue collection or enforcement of taxation.

Otti charged motorists to stand up for their rights and not give in to any form of intimidation by touts who parade themselves as government officials on the roads.

He said;

“This government does not use touts to collect revenues or for enforcement. When you see touts coming to you, report them to the nearest security agency- do not give in to them.

“You have a right not to succumb to the threats of miscreants. But if you chose to succumb, then there is nothing I can do for you.

“I do not enforce the collection of taxes and other revenues using touts. Help us exterminate that wrong practice”.
