Why I Shot My Sister’s Boyfriend – 30-Year-Old Man | READ IN FULL
30-year-old Michael Ogundele, was on Friday, February 3, arrested by operatives of Ogun state police command for shooting his younger sister’s boyfriend.
Ogundele who resides at Idiroko, in Ipokia Local Government Area of the State, was said to have shot the victim, one Tobi Olabisi for refusing warnings and continuing his love relationship with his sister.
A statement released on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested after he was brought to Idiroko divisional police headquarters by a community leader in Ihunbo town, Alfa Akeem.
“Upon the report by Alfa Akeem, the DPO of Idiroko division, CSP Ayo Akinsowon, was said to have mobilized his detectives to go after the suspect and he was subsequently arrested.
“On interrogation, the suspect claimed to have warned the victim to desist from dating his younger sister, but he refused”.
The suspect had on the fateful day, got a hint that Olabisi was sleeping in his sister’s room and he went there with a dane gun.
On getting there, the victim had jumped out through the window when he was shot by the suspect.
The victim was thereafter rushed to the General Hospital, Idiroko, “where he is currently responding to treatment.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has directed the transfer of the suspect to the Homicide section of the State CIID for further investigation.” the statement read partly.
