A statement released on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested after he was brought to Idiroko divisional police headquarters by a community leader in Ihunbo town, Alfa Akeem.

“Upon the report by Alfa Akeem, the DPO of Idiroko division, CSP Ayo Akinsowon, was said to have mobilized his detectives to go after the suspect and he was subsequently arrested.

On getting there, the victim had jumped out through the window when he was shot by the suspect.

The victim was thereafter rushed to the General Hospital, Idiroko, “where he is currently responding to treatment.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has directed the transfer of the suspect to the Homicide section of the State CIID for further investigation.” the statement read partly.
