The governorship candidacy of Prof. Greg Ibe of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been nullified by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Justice Binta Nyako who presided over the case has given the party a 14-day ultimatum to conduct a fresh primary election.
Nyako on Thursday gave the order following a suit filed by a governorship aspirant, Chief Chikwe Udensi, challenging the outcome of the primary election.
Nyako held that following the testimonies of witnesses presented, the primary election the May 29 primary election was “flawed and marred with irregularities.”
Although, Udensi had urged the court to declare him the winner in place of Ibe, the court resorted to order for a fresh primary to be conducted.
