Student Jailed Over Tweet On Aisha Buhari Once Stood Against “Justice For Deborah” – Old Tweet Surfaces

Nigerians who have been calling for the release of Aminu Mohammed, the final year student arrested and remanded in prison for criticizing Aisha Buhari, are retracting the pleas after an old tweet of Mohammed standing against “justice for Deborah” resurfaced online.

Recall that #Justice for Deborah Samuel” trended after the 200 Level student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto state was murdered by Islamic extremists and set ablaze after she advised her classmates against posting religious materials on their WhatsApp group.

Mohammed in an old tweet, had warned against anyone rocking a T-shirt with the inscription; #Justice for Deborah” in Bauchi. Mohammed in that tweet threatened that anyone calling for justice for Deborah would be dealt with.

Aminu Mohammed had tweeted in Hausa language;

‘ Duk Wanda yasa wannan rigar ah Bauchi sai munchi uwarsa” translated as ” anyone that wears this shirt in Bauchi, we will deal with them”.
