The Abia State governor and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidate for Abia South Senatorial district, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu on Thursday, said the 2023 election candidates of other political parties were shopped from the dustbin of the PDP.

Ikpeazu said, no other party exists in Abia state except PDP, adding that other candidates lacks pedigree to win elections.

In his words, “We have decided to come out today in our numbers to establish the fact that there are no other political parties in Abia state apart from PDP.

“I have seen a few individuals that are intending to various offices in some mushroom parties. ” Incidentally, candidates of these small parties were shopped from the dustbin of the PDP. We have a big dustbin where we throw away recalcitrant people. They went there and picked individuals without consequences at all and are of zero electoral value”.

Ikpeazu expressed confidence that all candidates of the PDP will win the 2023 elections in the state.

The governor also stated that the next administration will receive from the incumbent, a 30-year development plan, a master plan for industrial development among others.

“We are bequeathing roads that will last for the next 30 years” he added.
